Meanwhile, Kumar has a lot of untapped potential and his friend knows it. Stick-in-the-mud Harold has a big assignment due tomorrow and Kumar’s constant attempts to get him to let go a little get on his nerves. It’s not that they’re without their disagreements Harold & Kumar get on each others’ nerves plenty. I want to hammer down that sure, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle is about two guys who get a mad case of the munchies, but more importantly, it’s about two buddies who stick together, no matter what. On the way, they run into all sorts of insane characters that hinder what should be an easy quest. After an evening of smoking up, they get a mad craving for White Castle hamburgers and decide nothing else will satisfy them, so off they go. It’s about two guys: straightlaced, hard-working Harold (John Cho) and his hard-partying, irresponsible friend and roommate Kumar (Kal Penn). It’s also a road movie and, above all, a tale of true friendship. Well, you’re not entirely wrong, but if you’re dismissing this comedy because you don’t think it’s going to be your brand of humor, hold on. You believe Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle is just a dumb stoner comedy a bunch of jokes about two guys getting high and the wacky hijinks that follow.
